Insight is working with Leeds Trinity University and Pinewood Pictures to present a special screening with a Q&A  panel discussion of new feature film, Honour, starring Aiysha Hart, Paddy Considine and Faraz Ayub.

The movie

Honour is an urban thriller set in West London. Mona is a young British Muslim girl on the on the run from her family after they find out about her plans to run away with her Punjabi boyfriend. In a desperate bid to save face and their family honour; her mother and older brother enlist the help of a bounty hunter to track her down.

Honour is the debut feature-length movie as director for BAFTA-nominated Shan Khan, previously acclaimed as an actor and writer, known for Candy Bar Kid (2002), and Bombay Blue (1997) as well as appearances in Judge John Deed and Trial & Retribution.

The Q&A discussion

The Panel discussion will be chaired by Abdul-Rehman Malik of Radical Middle Way, a director of Insight. Guests will include the film’s director Shan Khan and a representative from the charity Karma Nirvana, which has been working to support victims of honour crimes and forced marriages since 1993.
